Steamboat at Serangoon

We had our dinner at the Serangoon having the fish steamboat. From the photo above, it can be seen that we cleared all the food on the plates, leaving nothing left except the soup.

Saturday Morning @ IKEA

We woke up pretty early in the morning to visit Tampines IKEA to have our breakfast. I ordered 2 sets of French Toast with Sausages and Baked Beans. For the price and the quality of food, I would rate it at 4.2/5. It always feel good to start with a hearty breakfast, the mood do lighten up very much.

After the breakfast we strolled around the store to look at some of the new furnitures. Currently they were having great sale and there were good discounts for some of their products. Pity, the shoe cabinet that I wanted to buy was not on any offer.

Next, we drove down to Courts to check out the electronics stuff. We caught eyes on the PC games section whereby they offered "Battle for Middle Earth" and "Sims2" at an incredible price. Can you believe that we bought each set at $34.45 and it included a water tumbler each. What a great deal.

Next stop was the Giants supermarket. We bought a notebook cooler pad for Irene. It looks cool with the neon blue light beneath the pad. Lastly we bought some groceries before we left for home to unpack the stuff we bought.

In the evening, we went to Harbour Front to pickup my Mum whom just returned from Batam. Then we left for the market next to AIA building for dinner with my Dad and my Sis's family. My sis ordered chili crayfish, oat prawn, fried baby squids and some other good stuff. The meal was quite cheap and taste good, it has always been our favourite eating place since many years.

Vivio City

I picked Irene, Dad, Ping and her maid plus kids for outing. My brother-in-law was at work and my Mum went to her religious studies. So left only few of us to enjoy our weekend. We went to Vivio City to let the kids enjoy the playground. They sure had a wild time there and we were very much tired out to accompany them.

Dinner we went to Marché restaurant located at the roof. We were joined by Mum and my brother-in-law then. I will never miss to order the Fried Calamari and Potato Salad when I dine there. The best part is that they have changed the normal mayonnaise sauce to the wasabi mayonnaise. My favourite.

The whole dinner cost me $120 which is reasonable for 8 adults and 2 kids. But I was not very full, so I had to stuff myself with the Vinco donuts when I got home. Yep, this time I bought 5 Chocolate Delights, 5 Almond and 2 Mocha chocolate donuts. Fantastic taste.

Morning Exercise at East Coast

We made a point to start exercising every week as we need to keep ourself fit. Today, we went to East Coast for riding bicycle. It was really cheap, we paid $6 for 2 hours ride with a bottle mineral water as complimentary each. Who says nothing goes down in Singapore? I still remember paying $5 for an hour ride back in 3-4 years ago.

Quite surprise to see some changes in the park and but still very empty, guess its too hot to hang around there. But there were many people fishing on the long bridge jetty, especially the elders. Our feelings are, these people either fish for interest or fish to sell. Really admire their determination to stay under the hot sun waiting for fishes to nib their line.

Funny thing in the Office

It all happen when something was being highlighted to the office from the shop-floor. Instead of handling the news in a more subtle and serious manner, we took the jovial mood to face it. The story was enact in the video and I do not wish to elaborate the details since there was victim involved.

See You Baby Ferando

Baby Ferando has gone back to Indonesia after his re-visit to Singapore to check his health in the hospital. I guess you might be wondering what is that thing on his forehead. Its actually a tissue paper where his grandma soaked in medical ointment to cure his cough or cold thing.

Weekend at Vivio City

Saturday afternoon, we went to Vivio City as Irene wants to buy something. I ended up buying a Tommy Hilfiger Polo-T for $111. Heart pain...

We had our brunch at Toast Box (another Breadtalk business unit) where we ordered a kaya toast set, Mee Siam and a traditional bun with butter. In conclusion the food is over-priced and the quality is not there. Can drop the idea of re-visit.

We came across the all-time long queue outside the Donut Shop, "Vinco". Finally we joined the queue and were excited to try on the various donuts. Check out the box below, isn't it cute to send as a gift? Anyway, we ordered the following variety of donuts in pairs. Personally I love the almond and the chocolate donuts, and it was not enough for me to eat.

7/7/07 - Best Day for Chinese Wedding

Congratulations to Mervyn and Yasmin to their big day. They are among the 777 couples to tie their knot today. We were invited to the AMK Grassroot club, Naked Fish restaurant, to witness their ROM ceremony. I was told by Yasmin that the JP is also the owner for the restaurant and this voluntary match-making job should be drawing good business to the restaurant.

Dinner at New York

Friday night, we had our dinner at AMK hub's New York restaurant. We queued for about half an hour before we were shown to our seat. The place was pretty crowded as it was not too big. While queuing we were offered with cotton candy which Irene just love it.

Ordered a pizza, a BBQ Ribs and a Coke Float. The food was worth every single cent that we paid. I enjoyed the pizza very much being thin and tasty.

Photos from IFX Model Shoots

Got these photos from the corporate staff whom invited me for the shoot. She told me to look out for next Saturday newspaper, there would be a huge print from the company. Who can recognize me based on the eyes?

Reservist for A Day

Today I report to my camp for a medical screening. Actually the main purpose is to screen for HIV, so they need my blood sample. The reason is because after every oversea trip we are suppose to be checked for such disease or virus. My guess is that they are worried that we were sexually abused by the kangaroos during the night training.

The whole process took about 10 min and I walked out of the camp at 10.30am. Feeling bored, I drove to the nearby camp to visit the E-Mart where I wanted to clear my credit balance before it expires in coming October. I used the remaining credit to purchase a new pair of boots as I need to start enjoying my lobo status since my down grade.

I drove over to Irene's workplace to have lunch with her. She brought me to Jack's Place next to the Clementi's stadium for lunch. Nice place, just completed renovation. We ordered a Dory Fish set and a NZ Sirloin steak set each. After that I drove her back to office before I left for home to rest.
